CES 2009 Report

Car Audio

As I mentioned earlier, there was not a lot of activity in the car stereo hall this year. Sure, there were a number of show cars there, but the ‘Jackhammer’ subwoofer by MTX that was demonstrated at high volumes in past years (for very short periods of time) wasn’t even connected this year. Lots of empty space in the car stereo hall, but hey, I had to take some pictures of some of the cool looking cars, right? Also interesting was the taser displays. While the picture below doesn’t show it, all 12 banks of tasers were working each time the sales rep fired them up. Imagine the lawsuits pending if one of these were installed as part of a car alarm… and the thief died while trying to steal your car!
