Some screen shots of the actual working
stacked system, run at 1080p from BluRay and HD-DVD
discs:
And finally, if the seats are comfortable but
the movie is boring, it’s nice to be able to
sleep in your theater... this is yours truly
after 36 hours of working and traveling:
In summary, what makes this HT system
special? (in my opinion)
- identical left-center-right speakers
- powerful subwoofers
- acoustically transparent screen of very high
quality
- carpeting that absorbs a lot of the
reverberation in the room
- black velvet over the screen to absorb light
reflections
- Blu Ray and HD DVD running at 1080p
- gamma correction Moome card, giving enhanced
shadow details
- stacked CRT projectors
- careful ISF calibration by a calibrator
familiar with CRT projectors
- ideally located surround speakers
- enough AC circuits to provide enough power for
all components
- vented hush box around projectors providing
enough cooling
- taking the time to do research, to plan the
layout and setup of the HT room.
