Here’s more speakers from a company called Pure Acoustics...
Dynaudio is considered more of an audiophile speaker, and
here’s some of their more interesting designs…
For a mere $2500 you can have this monster…
There were many long throw woofers like this at the show that
claim high output even in a small box. Talking with a local
speaker designer though, as you reduce the size of the cabinet,
the efficiency goes down, thus the power input to the speaker
must go way up. This is why these speakers need very high power
amplifiers to drive them.
From Altec you get a never-ending supply of Ipod and Zune
accessories:
I personally own the IM7 (bought as is for $35 off
eBay!) and
it works really well. Altec actually puts a digital amplifier
(read: 90% efficiency) into these portable units now, so battery
life is greatly extended. (good luck trying to repair it if it
ever dies though). See
here for more information.
More portable Ipod speaker/amplifiers from a company called
THTF. Hmm, these look a lot like the speaker/amps that JBL
makes…
These pictures of course are a very small representation of
the massive quantity of what was at the show.
