Video Problems: RGB Switcher Card
I’ll assume for now that most of you
are running an RGB input to your Barco
projector.
All signals run through the RGB switcher card, the BNC input connectors feed
directly to the input of the RGB switcher card via the motherboard. This makes
the switcher board somewhat susceptible to static electricity and power surges.
It’s not uncommon to have one color to go dead due to static electricity damage
to this board. If the H or V sync components get damaged, the RGB input will go
dead as the Barcos will not display a picture if the sync signals are not
present within the projector. As stated above, if the RGB input goes dead, the
video and Svideo inputs most likely will still work.
There is a green LED that lights up if a signal with sync is present and that
specific input is selected on the keypad. If there is no input signal present,
the LED usually will light for a second or two when that input is selected, but
then it will go out as no signal is detected.
