Vertical board

The below picture shows the Barco vertical board. A failure on this board can cause no picture, and will cause the scan fail light to come on.

The picture below shows the 6 trimpot controls that can be user adjusted in the picture.

The two trimpots with the red dots on it control the red tube master V size and vertical shift. Match the image size of the red tube to the green, then match the blue size to the green tube. The R and B V shift trimpots are used to center the raster of the R and B tubes compared to the green. Note that the green tube is used as a reference, and has no adjustments to shift the raster and image size other than the master adjustments in the geometry menu.

The two vertical hold controls may be adjusted slightly if the symptom of the set is very slow image shift up or down after the set warms up. Unlike old TV sets, the image of the Barco sets will not roll unless these controls are far out of alignment, which usually indicates a problem with this board. Normally these controls will not require adjustment.
