11) HV quadrupler:
Converts the signals from the EHT
board to 35Kv. Not serviceable, this block must be
replaced as a whole if it is defective.
12) Convergence board:
This board pulls out form under
the tubes, and contains all of the convergence
circuitry. Also contains the front IR receiver, and a
PC board for the computer RS-232 control.
There are no user serviceable parts on the convergence
board. The convergence board tray consists of three
boards. The convergence driver board, the convergence
output board, and the astigmatism board. While actual
failures on these boards are rare, if your convergence
on the set is drifting and it’s not due to a poor set
up, then chances are the convergence board is bad. Note
that complete failure of the convergence board can also
be caused by the G2 board.
